Each year this department responds to over 4000 calls for service. Our firefighters/paramedics work tirelessly to provide exceptional service, responding to various emergencies with efficiency and compassion.
The fire service has evolved significantly over the years. While our primary mission remains fire suppression, we have expanded our role to include a wide range of services that ensure the health and safety of our community. In addition to emergency medical services, our department focuses on fire prevention and inspection services, emergency management, community education, hazardous materials response, marine fire & rescue response, oil spill pollution mitigation, and disaster preparedness. We are also pleased to offer community programs aimed at educating residents about fire safety and emergency preparedness.
